Yes! A dog-bed building party! You may not know, but when FHF fulfills a shelter or rescue wish list, that list includes beds of all sizes -- big donuts, small poofy balls, and yes, those that need building with tools! Our FHF team had SO MUCH FUN with the William Taber Salon team who not only bought Dog Bed Fairy Books that parlayed into funding, but also donated their time. Together with the Friends of Clay County and FHF, The Clay County Animal Care & Control Center was fully outfitted with a nearly $5,000 donation of dog beds, so their rescue animals find comfort while waiting for their FUREVER homes. It takes most potential adopters less than 70 seconds to evaluate a dog in the kennel according to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). Euthanasia is the leading cause of death of our companion dogs in shelters, as many dogs are passed over in that short time frame that families take to evaluate them.

Senara Buys 200 Books; Dozens Of Dogs In Pekin, Il, Sleep Well

Extending a great big warm THANK YOU to the INCREDIBLE Senara Health Spa! The stunning Spa, Health & Healing Center in Peoria, IL, - purchased 200 Dog Bed Fairy books! With their fabulous generosity, and with help from our online Dog Bed Fairies and a group of dedicated volunteers -- together we were able to build and outfit the wonderful TAPS No-Kill Animal Shelter in Pekin, IL with nearly 70 dog beds. The dogs spent Thanksgiving snuggled on their new beds, and will hopefully go home with their forever families by Christmas!
