Rescued from a Texas kill pen, Shadow was malnourished and had lost her baby to pneumonia. Her fear and grief were palpable, until Granny came along and helped her to trust again. Shadow and Granny were the first animals to come live at the ranch!

Shadow is a loyal and sassy companion. She enjoys treats and scratches, but when she's had enough, she's not afraid to make her exit. She's a true leader, who knows her own mind and isn't afraid to assert herself.
