Sanctuary Manager, Elise, is a member of Temple Shalom in Dallas where she is always sharing stories and pictures from her days on the ranch. Last Saturday, they organized a group of about thirty volunteers to come out and spend the day with us.
We began the day with a short speech about the mission of our sanctuary and some stories about the animals. Then we broke up into groups to get some work done! We had people cleaning stalls, washing food bowls, grooming animals, and getting fans cleaned and hung up in the stalls.
The volunteers loved being able to work outside and give back, while spending time with the animals. We loved having passionate and hardworking helpers and sharing the stories of our herd.
