What Does "Foster-to-Transport" Mean?
Bear and Willard have already been tagged for transport, which is wonderful news.
That means a partner rescue in New England has committed to taking them in and finding each of them a loving forever family.
There's just one catch. Transportation isn't available for a few more weeks. Without a temporary foster home to keep them safe in the meantime, they could lose their spot on the transport.
That's where programs like this make all the difference.
Better Together
Bear and Willard are our fifth and sixth Foster-to-Transport dogs, and we've discovered something along the way…
We love rescuing them in pairs!
Having a buddy makes this transition so much easier. They have someone to play with, cuddle with, and help them feel safe while they wait for the next chapter of their journey.
Watching them gain confidence together is one of our favorite parts of fostering.
A Short Stay, A Lifetime of Impact
Over the next few weeks, Bear and Willard will enjoy plenty of playtime, cozy naps, good meals, and lots of love before boarding their ride to New England.
Soon, they'll be meeting the families who have been waiting just for them.
Helping dogs bridge the gap between the shelter and their forever homes is one more way we can say "yes" to animals in need—and every successful transport opens space for another life to be saved.
