One July morning, our sweet Maggie was down in the pasture—clearly uncomfortable and reluctant to get up. Totally unlike her! We called Dr. Metcalf right away.
Off to the Hospital
Dr. Metcalf advised us to make her comfortable with medication and head straight to Weems & Stephens Equine Hospital. After a full examination, the team thankfully didn’t find anything serious, but they wanted to keep her overnight for fluids and close monitoring.
A Quick Turnaround
To everyone’s relief, Maggie perked up quickly. By the next day, she was well enough to come home—and we were thrilled to see her feeling like herself again!
Best Friend Backup
While Maggie was away, her bestie Sammy was visibly down. Luckily, Simon stepped in to offer some emotional support while she recovered. Now that she’s home, the whole crew is back together—and we’re all breathing a sigh of relief.
