This week, our sweet 5-year-old pygmy goat, Roo, began exhibiting unusual, labored breathing that caught our attention. Concerned for his well-being, we immediately sought the expertise of our trusted veterinarian.

The Diagnosis: A Heart Murmur

During the examination, our vet discovered something concerning—Roo has a severe heart murmur. It's so pronounced that you can feel it simply by placing your hand on his chest. This unexpected news prompted us to take swift action

To ensure Roo receives the best care possible, we are collaborating closely with our vet and specialists at Texas A&M. Together, we're working to determine the most effective treatment plan for his condition. The health and happiness of our animals are always our top priorities.

Despite his diagnosis, Roo remains his bright and cheerful self. His appetite is fantastic, and he’s actively socializing with his goat friends as usual.
