This month, Dr. Avery came out to our Sanctuary for a full herd checkup on our sheep and goats—19 animals total! She carefully examined each one, checking their body condition and famacha scores (which help us detect signs of anemia), and performed fecal tests on a sampling of the herd to monitor internal health.
Gentle Care for Stiff Steps
Two of our beloved residents, Pickles and Oliver, have been experiencing a bit of stiffness lately. Dr. Avery collected additional samples to run extra tests, and we’re relieved to share that their results came back normal! Next, Dr. Metcalf will step in for x-rays to dig deeper and ensure our boys stay comfy and cared for.
