A Little Bit About Me...
Orion came to us through our Foster to Heal Program in partnership with Singing Whales Rescue in Hawaii. He arrived to us severely underweight with pleural effusion and laminitis in his front feet. After weeks of medication and weekly ultrasounds, the fluid cleared up and he steadily gained weight. The goal was to Rehabilitate Orion and send him to his forever home in Hawaii, but due to challenges with transportation and his ongoing need for specialized foot care, we adopted him!!

Orion wears a UV fly mask year round, as his face easily gets sunburnt. We love lifting it up during tours and revealing his beautiful blue eyes!!!

Goodbye Orion: A Year of Love, Care & Courage

Last August, we got a call from Singing Whale Rescue about a beautiful, starving horse who needed immediate help. That horse was Orion, and his first few months with us were filled with challenges—and a lot of care.

Orion Finds His Forever Home (With Us!)

In August, we welcomed Orion to the Sanctuary as a foster for Singing Whales Rescue and Rehabilitation. He arrived in critical condition—starved, battling fluid buildup around his heart and chest, and suffering from excruciating hoof pain. His road to recovery was uncertain, but we were determined to give him every chance at a new life.
