Meet Wonder, a senior pony with a heart as big as his spirit. Completely blind, Wonder was living a difficult life. A kind-hearted woman noticed him looking painfully thin and being ridden by neighborhood children. Recognizing that he deserved a better life, she stepped in to rescue him, bringing him to safety and caring for him until he was back to a healthy weight.
A Safe Retirement Home
Knowing that Wonder needed a safe and loving environment to spend his golden years, she reached out to us at FarmHouse Fresh®. We couldn’t wait to welcome him into our family! To ensure his comfort and safety, we built him a special barn that aligns perfectly with the fence, eliminating any risk of him getting stuck.
A Visit from the Vet
Our beloved Dr. Metcalf came to examine Wonder. While there’s nothing that can be done for his eyesight, we were relieved to hear that he is healthy and not in pain. His well-being is our top priority, and we’re committed to providing him with the care he needs.
Navigating with Sound
To help Wonder navigate his new yard, we hung wind chimes in the corners. They provide him with auditory cues to guide his movements, and he’s a quick learner!
A New Friend Awaits
Before Wonder can join the rest of our herd, he’ll undergo a 30-day quarantine period. This allows us to monitor his health and ensures he’s ready for companionship. After that, we’ll find him a buddy who can keep him company and share in the joys of sanctuary life.
